Deadly disease spreads in S. Korea

  According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare on Friday, the man was pronounced dead yesterday and brings the total number of fatalities from the disease to four.

  The health authorities also confirmed the number of confirmed MERS patients rose to 41, of which 8 are a tertiary infection.

  Prior to this, an 83-year-old male patient has died on Thursday from MERS. Since its outbreak on May 20, he was the first death from a tertiary infection.

  The total number of the quarantined rose 153 to 1,820, as of 2 p.m. Friday.
